With the emerging awareness of healthy  diets, many of us are taking things a step further, investigating hair and cosmetic products.  Quite by accident, I discovered the salon of my dreams.  My dear friend invited me to accompany her to an art exhibit in Silverlake, an artsy Los Angeles community, held, of all places, in a beauty salon.  Curious!  As it turns out, it was an innovative  idea to use all that  space to adorn the walls while exhibiting local art.  The salon itself is a work of art, a copy of  one where owner Arnaud Ozharun worked and taught in Paris for more than 35 years.  This is a first class operation all the way where only organic products are used and sold.  They are more expensive than your drug store brands but so much healthier for hair and skin and do a far better job.  Arnaud, a master stylist, offers consultations and unlike so many salons I have patronized in the past where I was asked what I wanted done with my hair, he, as a experienced stylist, suggested what he thought was the right style for me.  He colored and clipped and turned on the massaging chair while shampooing my hair and massaging my scalp– a nice bonus.  The results were impressive.  I received rave reviews from friends and family and I was thrilled with my new look as well as the condition of my hair.  The back room features spa manicures/pedicures, waxing and facials where clients get the royal treatment.  All products used at Natural Mind are 100% organic, biodynamic, natural and eco-friendly…good for the patrons and good for the planet.
