Kinky Boots exploded onto the stage of the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood to a packed house and did not disappoint. The colorful, high energy performers introduced the audience to some unusual characters in the unlikely setting of a gentlemen’s shoe factory in England about to go out of business. Winner of six Tony Awards in 2013 including Best Musical, Kinky Boots, inspired by true events, travels from the shoe factory to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. In this very proper and conservative setting, the spectacular Lola arrives to save the day in a round about way. Kinky Boots also sends a message of tolerance and acceptance. It is a joyous celebration about the friendships we discover and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind.
